Yom Kippur

The Day of Atonement is at the center of the book of Leviticus, at the center of the Torah, and at the center of the Jewish worship schedule. On this one day, the high priest was able to enter the Holy of Holies, to stand before the presence of God and make sacrifices to provide atonement for the people, and to cleanse the Most Holy Place from the pollution of the nation's sins. While this day was so important and significant, we see it is only a shadow, with Christ proving to be a better priest , offering a better sacrifice , in a better sanctuary, producing better results, and giving God's people better access to Him.
